Is Day Care Available to me?
Day Care is open to all those over 65 years of age, living within the North Kerry Health Care Catchment Area. Under 65’s are accepted by medical referral.
How often is Day Care available?
At present, the centre operates Monday to Friday inclusive, from 10.00 am to 3.30 pm on each day.
What can I expect when I attend?
You get the opportunity to meet and socialise with contemporaries in a warm friendly atmosphere. Enjoy morning tea and a full lunch and partake in the centre’s activities and services.
What facilities can I avail of in Day Care?
You can avail of Nursing Care, Chiropody, Hairdressing, Reflexology, Massage and Beauty Therapy.
What are the benefits of attending?
The benefits are a carefree day out with snacks and meal, socialisation, conversation and access to the centre’s services and activities. The centre also offers much appreciated respite to families and carers.
How do I get there?
It is up to each individual to arrange their transport to the centre. However, Ard Chúram Day Care Centre, in conjunction with Kerry Community Transport, provides transport on fixed routes, which you may avail of, if you live on these routes.

Do I have to pay to attend?
Yes. The contribution is €10.00 per day. This covers all snacks and meals, nursing care and centre activities. Services, such as chiropody, hairdressing, reflexology, massage and beauty therapy are charged for separately and are payable to the individual service provider.
